This was a quick, un-HP-like read involving a best man/maid of honor post-wedding hookup that lasted months afterward. Great romantic suspense debut. I loved the chemistry between Luke and Monica. I especially loved that Luke and Monica worked together to solve the case, and didn’t let their relationship worries interfere with their jobs. I’m a sucker for a hero and heroine joining forces to fight evil. And this is one EVIL villain.And the twists and turns of the plot kept me guessing. TEN THINGS is classic Julia Quinn, pairing a forthright country-bred debutante with a charming but feckless secret-novelist. The dialogue sparkles, the chemistry between the hero and heroine crackles and the very real threat that keeps them apart is loathsome enough that I breathed a sigh of relief when these two were finally able to declare themselves betrothed. A frothy, yet poignant and satisfying read.

Fun, sexy read, pitting an injured MLB Baseball pitcher against the straight-laced reporter who’s been tasked to write a series of articles about his team. Shalvis did a great job of building the chemistry between these two to a fever pitch, and though none of the developments were particularly surprising, I felt compelled to keep on reading to see how things would work out. Looking forward to the second book in this series.
